Tuition examples

Check your university's official fee page. Tuition depends on the state and university. Reported by msingermany.com for 2026: Baden-Wurttemberg EUR 1,500 per semester for non-EU students (about Rs 3.2 lakh a year). TUM in Bavaria EUR 4,000 or 6,000 per semester for master's depending on programme (about Rs 8.5 to 12.8 lakh a year). Most other states charge no tuition at public universities, but every university charges a semester contribution of roughly EUR 100 to 430 per semester. Confirm on the university's own fee page.

Tuition varies by university, course and year. Add living funds and tuition together only after checking your own university.
